232/365 life is a beach (August 20th)

no interview today as it was just the 4 of us for the week

and we were very happy just sitting at the beach

and yet another self potrait, I was determined that in 20 years the kids would know I actually attended this family outing, even if all the photos are at a arms length. Kaeden and Scott doing tricks in the water, they spent hours together out there

we are back from our holiday week

and what a week it was

the highlights:

family. 

roadtrip(s).

a wonderful chorus of "are we there yet" and the classic "I'm bored"

beautiful wedding.

rip roaring good times with our USA family.

WASPS. 

pictures.

a titch of a political debate (someone who doesn't LOVE Obama in the US, what? what?) 

goats on our porch just "hanging" out.

more WASPS.

Peacocks on our porch railing.

the libby dam tour, it was a "dam" good time.

waking up to a sheep "knocking" on our window with his very large horns.

best french toast and Scones I have had in a very long time.

did I mention roadtrips.

no Target in Sandpoint. 

OOPS. 

spur of the moment trip to Coeur d'Alene.

disappointing Target trip.

good for the bank book, sad for me.

but I liked Sandpoint, even with the absence of Target.

5 days alone (our family only) at the land (in our trailer).

lots of love, a few fights.

a text book family vacation.

some bikini do's and a whole lot of don'ts for our viewing pleasure

WASPS. not thrilled with this development.

fire ban lifted. over the moon thrilled with this development.

back to the fire pit.

perfected the art of roasting marshmallows.

finished 3 books.

including the 800+ The Way the Crow Flies (Ann MacDonald)

(which I have had on my bedside table for 3+years and highly recommend).

Relaxed...finally (on day 6)

it wasn't fancy or exotic but it was perfect for us.

and now time to snap back to reality and the word that we have not been allowed to utter...school.
