tonight I met up with my good friend Starr
who is in town for a couple of weeks with her children (Ace and Scarlett)
she moved back to her hometown of Oxbow, Sask. last year after being our
neighbour for 7+ years here in Calgary.
I knew I wouldn't have many opportunities to see
her on a Thursday so I made sure to secure a meeting with her tonight.
We met at a Starbucks by her sister's,
took a few pictures
and had a tons of laughs.
This was one of the funniest interviews I have done yet,
I had some very large belly laughs and snort sounds going on
and I am sure the other Starbucks customers thought
we were crazy.

What is your favourite thing to do? Photography, I don’t know…can we come back to that…
What is your least favourite thing to do? Dispose of wood ticks (apparently Oxbow (Saskatchewan) is chalk full of them this year)
What was the last film you saw at the theater? I really have to think about this…did you and I go to "He’s just that not into you "(nope) who did I go to that with?…there has to be something sooner…"He just not that into you" with Michelle…in Minot. That was really hard, can you believe I haven’t been to a movie since February…what has the world come to... how sad
What is your favorite TV show? Hmmm I have to pick a really good one…on now or on previously? (whatever you would like)…if I go with retired: arrested development... if not then I would say it's a toss up between Big Love and Entourage
What do you want to be when you grow up? ( a big laugh) I am definitely still a kid…a philanthropist
What food do you dislike? Feta cheese
What is your favorite song? it's by Imogene Heap but I don’t know the title…can I email it to you
Favorite item of clothing? Jackets …lulu to be more specific
If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go? New York City
Favorite sport to watch? Dee-Ann (said in a stern "mom" voice)…hmmmmm I want to say that I don’t like sports, I don’t approve of them – I will say surfing – a non competitive sport (as long as I have known Starr, she has never been a fan of games of any kind...hockey, card games, monopoly...nothing that is competitive in nature she just doesn't think it is fair..I told her to just wait, she will be the biggest "soccer" mom around with Ace but she says no way...she will be the anti-soccer mom. When they lived next door to us, it was always Cory (her husband) and I watching Hockey and her and Scott doing something else)
Are you a morning person or a night person? Both...do you have a quote question? like what's your favourite quote? (nope, but tell me what it is)... "there is 24 usable hours in every day"..Liv Tyler's character in Empire Records
What is your favorite candy? Swedish berries
What is your favorite flower? tulips
If you were a crayon, what color would you be? turquoise
If you were candy, what would you be? “Starr”burst
Favorite drink? I have to say…a Malibu Coke, because I feel like I am on a beach
Favorite restaurant? Da Paolo Ristorante (Calgary)
What are you afraid of ? spiders
Favorite day of the week? Friday
Favourite Memory of last year? hmmmm, really? Can you inspire me? How about…working on my home...building, creating, something our new house with my husband
What makes you happy? Starbucks…just kidding, everyone says family…so I want to come up with something more creative, what makes me happy? Wait…I am trying to sound a bit philosophical…something like discovering who I am and being comfortable with that..is that gay? (nope) wait come back to that…I know…having trust in my relationship…is that gay? I want to put something about my children, but not just my "children make me happy"…something like... my wonderful energetic kids
What makes you sad? (laugh) lack of Internet
What story/memory will you tell your grandchildren about? God... I don’t know, how I lived without Internet for a year…just kidding, I have no idea Dee-Ann…we will come back to that, we have to review once this is done…I need a redo

Something I won’t tell my grandchildren, is my engagement story, I will make up a very romantic story that involves champagne chocolate and a spa retreat (and not a roaster pan)

a few bonus pictures...NOT project 365 pictures though as we set up Shelby with automatic settings on the camera and asked her to snap a few of Starr and I together, well truthfully, Starr asked...I avoid the camera at all times.
